“Let the Children Come to Me”

Ms. Paola took the audience’s breath away as she sang “What A Beautiful Name”

In early November we wrapped up our eighth school year at Jubilee Centers International and flew to Michigan to prepare for our seventh annual celebration event!  Our theme this year was Let the Children Come to Me which speaks of our desire for children to be warmly welcomed into Jesus’ arms and to have a personal relationship with him. Throughout the evening, we were able to share stories of how the lives of children and their families in the community of La Era have been impacted by their participation in Jubilee’s school and church.  If you have not already seen the powerful video shared during the event, click here to go on a short journey of a typical day for Steven, one of our students at Jubilee.

David and Emily Romero share stories from Jubilee’s school year.

As in years past, we were very blessed this year to have the cost of the celebration event underwritten by Grand Flower Growers and several other corporate sponsors.  Not only are we very thankful for them, but we are also very thankful that Jubilee’s music teacher, Ms. Paola Soto, was able to fly in for the event!  She led us in worship as her rich, powerful voice sang out What a Beautiful Name in Spanish.  Our new US Executive Director, Kate Neckers, then interviewed Ms. Soto and also shared some of her own impressions from her visits to Jubilee school.  One of her favorite memories is of all of the love and hugs the students gave her, and she led the audience in a brief time of greeting and hugging one another so that they, too, could experience the contagious love that surrounds our school!  We give all thanks, praise, glory, and honor to God our Father for allowing us to be a part of the work that He is doing in La Era, Honduras, and we thank you for coming alongside us in this journey!
